Experimental Validation of the Thermal Processes Modeling in a Solar Still

Passive solar distillation is cheap and energy-efficient technology but its main disadvantage low productivity. Thus, there are many attempts to improve stills’ productivity, one of them changing the mass water. This paper presents results validation thermal processes modeling in a still (SS). In order validate model, experimental studies were conducted laboratory ensure uniform climatic conditions. The carried out for 10 kg, 15 20 kg water under three different irradiance show that highest lowest daily respectively, independently irradiance. When still’s productivity 800 mL/m2/day, 3732 9392 mL/m2/day low, medium, high irradiance, respectively. Additionally, it found reducing from can by maximum value 21.6%, which obtained proposed mathematical model allows predicting performance SS. theoretical calculations good agreement with experiments. minimum deviation between actual SS 1.1% 8.3%,
